A recent U.S. study testing 168 different brands of baby foods found toxic heavy metals – including mercury, lead, arsenic, and cadmium – in 95% of the products analysed [1]. Unfortunately, even products labelled organic are not guaranteed to be free from these contaminants. Heavy metals occur naturally in the environment, and certain fruits and vegetables can absorb higher amounts during the growing process, either through the soil or water.
Studies have reported contamination levels up to six times higher than the recommended limit in some brands of organic baby foods [2-3].

All baby food pouches must undergo a retort sterilisation process – a heat treatment that eliminates harmful bacteria and ensures food safety. While some nutrients may be sensitive to heat, our formulas are crafted to retain high levels of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants after sterilisation. How do we know this? Because Little Étoile® implements a rigorous quality management system, which includes nutrient testing at batch release and stability testing throughout shelf life. Every nutrition claim on our labels is backed by real test results obtained through this system, so you can be confident in the true nutritional value of every pouch.

Every product in our Topical Care ranges are dermatologically tested on sensitive skin to ensure they are as gentle as they are effective. Independent clinical testing gives parents confidence that our skincare is safe, reliable, and suitable for delicate skin. In studies conducted by an accredited dermatology clinic on 54 Australian subjects, our products showed no signs of irritation after 24 hours of contact with upper-arm skin, performing comparably to distilled water.
Eye Safety Testing
Our baby and kids washes and shampoos are independently tested for eye sensitivity at an accredited, cruelty-free laboratory, earning our ‘Tears-Be-Gone’ logo.
