Breast milk is best for babies
Breast milk is best for babies. The World Health Organization (WHO) and Singapore’s Health Promotion Board (HPB) recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a baby’s life. Unnecessary introduction of bottle feeding or other food and drinks may have a negative influence on breastfeeding.
Little Étoile fully recognises breast milk’s benefits and value and supports exclusive breastfeeding as recommended by the WHO. The content on this website is only for informational purposes for Singaporean residents and should not replace medical advice from your healthcare provider.
The Health Promotion Board recommends that infants should start on age-appropriate foods after six months, while breastfeeding continues for up to two years or longer. If you are considering using infant formula or are encountering difficulties with breastfeeding, consult with your healthcare professional for advice.
